He told B92 that Kosovo has not been a part of the Serbian state for ten years and that the people who are leading the country and its policies must accept reality. SPO leader criticizes Kosovo resolution He said that the resolution on Kosovo that Serbia has submitted to the UN Security Council is not good and that it can lead to conflicts with the EU and America, which can be damaging to Serbia in the long run. Draskovic said that with small changes to the resolution, it could be improved. “One sentence could be enough. The UN General Assembly is calling on the governments in Belgrade and Pristina to begin talks on cooperation and the essential protection of the Serb people and their spiritual heritage in Kosovo with international mediation and international guarantees. I thin that Europe, the U.S., Russia and the Security Council would support something like this,” Draskovic said. He said that Serbia must take care of the people in Kosovo and the religious and spiritual heritage, first and foremost. “If we receive international guarantees for the protection of these things, then we have confirmed what is really ours,” Draskovic said. “Kosovo was a province in the sovereignty state of Serbia, but it has not been for ten years. Serbia was forced to pull out of Kosovo with the Kumanovo Agreement and the resolution of the Security Council,” Draskovic said, adding that this is stated in the constitution as well, and cannot be changed.
