Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac is to end his visit to Libya on Thursday, during which he has held a series of meetings. They focused on the improvement of cooperation between the two countries in the area of defense, said reports. Defense minister in Libya visit Sutanovac and Chief of Staff of Libyan Armed Forces Major General Abu-Bakr Younis Jaber signed in Tripoli on Wednesday the Agreement on Military-Technical Cooperation between the two countries. Sutanovac underscored that Serbia and Libya have great possibilities for cooperation, adding that this agreement is the beginning of a new era of relations between them. The agreement opens new possibilities for military-technical cooperation. It envisages the cooperation in military education and health care, including the cooperation on the restoration of military hospitals in Libya and exchange of experts. The agreement also envisages the possibility for seriously ill patients from Libya to receive medical treatments at Belgrade Military Medical Academy (VMA), as well as the possibility for the Libyan cadets and officers to attend the Belgrade Military Academy and VMA. Šutanovac and Chief of Staff of Libyan Armed Forces Major General Abu-Bakr Younis Jaber signed in Tripoli on Wednesday the Agreement on Military-Technical Cooperation between the two countries.
