Serbia's Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Oliver Dulic denies that he is the wealthiest member of the government. Media reports said that the 35-year-old cabinet minister owns shares in two companies worth a total of one million euros. Environment minister: I'm no millionaire The minister, however, says that his 11-percent stake in one of the companies – Rolopak from Subotica in northern Serbia – is worth “much less than the EUR 800,000 figure reported by daily Danas”. The newspaper also said that Dulic owns 100 percent of shares of another Subotica-based company, DG Komp Racunari, worth EUR 200,000, while the Rolopak stake comes to EUR 800,000. Dulic says that the information about the value of Rolopak, which was published on the Anti-Corruption Agency’s website, was “incorrect”, and that the total value of the company was EUR 800,000, “but is now unfortunately much less”, while he owns “only 11 percent”. “The news that I’m a millionaire among ministers is also absolutely inaccurate,” he was quoted as saying. Beside the shares, the environment minister also has savings, but the information about that figure is not available to the public. He said however that he owns a “55-square-meter apartment in Subotica and a 19-square-meter apartment in the village of Orahovac near Kotor (Montenegro)”, which he says he bought, while he now lives in a rented apartment in Belgrade. Dulic’s monthly salary as a minister comes to RSD 106,000 (some EUR 1,000), while he is also employed as an “orthopedist consultant” at the Railway Hospital in Belgrade, where he earns a further RSD 24,000. The minister was not available for comment when it came to reports about his financial and property records yesterday, because he was on an official trip to Germany, said his ministry. The newspaper wrote that ten other current cabinet ministers own shares in companies, but that those are “far less valuable than those owned by the environment minister”. Oliver Dulic (Tanjug, file)
