The Serbian players were welcomed by a Serbian Football Association delegation headed by President Tomislav Karadzic and General Secretary Zoran Lakovic. 32 nations that have won the right to take part in the competition are divided into eight groups, that will each have top two teams progress to the last 16. Serbia was drawn to Group D, along with Germany, Ghana and Australia. The national squad will play its first World Cup match against Ghana in Pretoria, on Sunday, June 13.
