Serbia's War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic visited London on Wednesday, said reports. Vukcevic was there in order to exchange information with his British colleagues about the case of Ejup Ganic, according to Tanjug. War crimes prosecutor in trip to UK Ganic is a former Muslim member of Bosnia's wartime presidency, indicted in Serbia for the war crimes committed when a retreating Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) convoy was attacked in Sarajevo in May of 1992. At least 18 soldiers were killed, while 22 were injured. Ganic was detained earlier this year in London, and a decision is still awaited on the fate of Serbia's extradition request. Vukcevic will meet with “representatives of the Crown Prosecution Service and exchange information about the motion made by Ganic's defence, which contests the jurisdiction of the court regarding his extradition to Serbia”, Vukcevic's office announced on Wednesday. The court date for the motion is set for June 11 before the Westminster Magistrates' Court, while the extradition hearing is scheduled for July 5-9, said the statement.
