Protests over suspected mass grave excavation

The Association of Families of Missing Serbs from Kosovo will try to stop the excavation of a suspected gravesite near the town of Raska. The association stated that it would try to block the excavation of the site, believed to contain the bodies of ethnic Albanians, if investigations of mass graves in Kosovo do not begin simultaneously, where Serbs are believed to be buried. Protests over suspected mass grave excavation Association Coordinator Milorad Trifunovic said that if investigations into the Kosovo sites do not begin, the Association will block the excavation near Raska. He said that the association has been asking for exhumations to begin at gravesites at the Livacka Lake, Kosare and Belacevac for four years now. Trifunovic also reminded that there are currently 1,709 Serbs and non-Albanians from Kosovo still listed as missing.
