DSS official receives Russian award

Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Konuzin presented today the Order of the Friendship Medal to opposition DSS Vice-President Nenad Popovic. The medal was awarded to Popovic by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. Popovic's activities have contributed much to the development of both countries' economic potentials, as thousands of Serbs and Russians work in his companies, Konuzin said at the presentation. Popovic also contributed to the drafting and signing of the bilateral energy agreement and actively defended Serbia's national interests and sovereignty, the ambassador said.
