Former Bosnian general dies

Bosnia-Herzegovina Army General Rasim Delić died this morning in his apartment in Sarajevo, Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina TV reported.

Bosnia-Herzegovina Army General Rasim Delic died this morning in his apartment in Sarajevo, Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina TV reported. The cause of death is unknown, but the media are saying that the former general had been seeing doctors recently. Former Bosnian general dies Delic was born 1949 and was an officer of the former Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA) which he left in April 1992 when the war in Bosnia started. Since June 1993 until the end of the war in in November 1995, Delic was a commander of Muslim Army of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina. He retired in September 2000. Delic was charged with war crimes by the Hague Tribunal and was sentenced to three years in prison after being found guilty of cruel treatment and violation of laws and customs of war. The case was related to crime in the village of Livade, and the Kamenica camp, committed in July and August 1995.
