The Serbian government has decided to sell 40 percent of the state-owned Telekom Srbija telecommunications company. State Secretary with the Finance Ministry Slobodan Ilic will head two working groups set to organize the tender and sale. Government decides to sell 40 pct. of Telekom The government has initiated a procedure to sell Telekom shares as it met in Belgrade this Friday. It made a decision to request the PTT Srbija (postal services of Serbia) Board of Directors to transfer all Telekom shares they own to the state without compensation. Two working groups have been formed. One will monitor the sales process and the other should choose a privatization consultant. Ilic told B92 that the privatization consultant will chosen within 90 days. The government also adopted a package of measures for subsidized consumer loans, indexed in the home currency. Government decides to sell 40 pct. of Telekom

The government has initiated a procedure to sell Telekom shares as it met in Belgrade this Friday.

It made a decision to request the PTT Srbija (postal services of Serbia) Board of Directors to transfer all Telekom shares they own to the state without compensation.

Two working groups have been formed. One will monitor the sales process and the other should choose a privatization consultant.

Ilić told B92 that the privatization consultant will chosen within 90 days.
