Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic scheduled the first meeting of the Parliament Collegium for Wednesday. It will discuss the final draft of the Srebrenica resolution. Parliament collegium to discuss Srebrenica The text of the Srebrenica resolution says that parliament condemns in the strongest terms the crime in Srebrenica, in a manner determined by the ruling of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), B92 has learned. The draft resolution, which B92 saw, states that parliament strongly condemns the crime against Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) population in Srebrenica. The declaration’s text states that parliament condemns all social and political processes and phenomena which led to the creation of awareness that social and national goals can be achieved by using armed force and physical violence against members of other nations and religions. The first part of the draft is expressing condolences and apology to the victims’ families because not everything was done to prevent the tragedy. Session of the parliament’s Collegium which should discuss this document has started today just after 12:00 CET. Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, Deputy Speakers Natasa Jovanovic and Gordana Comic have arrived to the session. Heads of parliamentary groups For European Serbia (DS-led coalition) Nada Kolundzija, G17 plus Suzana Grubjesic, Serbian Socialist Party-United Serbia (SPS-JS), Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Cedomir Jovanovic, Serbian Radical Party (SRS) Dragan Todorovic, ethnic minorities MP group Balint Pastor and Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS) Momo Colakovic are also attending the meeting. Representatives of Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), New Serbia (NS) and Serb Progressive Party (SNS) are absent. The SNS representative said that the Serbian president, rather than the parliament speaker, should speak with the leaders of parliamentary parties about this subject. DSS said that representatives of the opposition are being invited in order to give legitimacy to the meeting, while the LDP leader said he was not pleased with the way the session was convened, because he learned about it "from the media".
