Serbia, Kuwait sign two agreements

A delegation led by PM Mirko Cvetkovic met with Kuwait's political and business leaders on Monday night and signed two bilateral agreements. Serbian Minister of Labor and Social Policy Rasim Ljajic and his Kuwaiti counterpart signed an agreement on cooperation in health care and an agreement on air transport. Serbia, Kuwait sign two agreements The agreement on health care envisages the exchange of experiences in health administration, public health, emergency medicine, as well as cooperation between the two countries in the field of medical research. The agreement on air transport envisages establishing a legal framework and basic conditions for air transport between Serbia and Kuwait. In addition to the two prime ministers and the cabinet ministers, the meeting was also attended by representatives of Kuwaiti investment and development funds. After the signing of the agreement, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Nasser Mohammad al-Ahmed al-Sabah hosted a formal dinner for the Serbian delegation, which was also attended by members of the diplomatic corps. Cvetkovic stated at the end of his visit to Kuwait on Tuesday that he agreed with the Kuwaiti PM to intensify the economic cooperation between the two countries in the forthcoming period. He said in a statement for Tanjug that the intensifying of cooperation primarily refers to the increase of trade and rise in Kuwait's potential investments in Serbia. "We have discussed Kuwait's potential investments in Serbia and participation of Serbian construction companies in construction works in Kuwait," Cvetkovic told Tanjug. He added that they also discussed activation of credit lines for infrastructure projects in Serbia, stressing the development of the railway. Cvetkovic visited the Scientific Center Kuwait and the Ahmadi-based Kuwait Oil Company, which is 30 kilometers away from the capital of Kuwait. Cvetkovic and Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, who welcomed Cvetkovic in Ahmadi, visited the exhibition of the Kuwait Oil Company.
