A Macedonian citizen, identified as Mahir Jakupi, was shot and killed yesterday in the municipality of Presevo, southern Serbia. A policeman from Presevo, identified as Zoran Memarovic, was arrested on Thursday on suspicion that he had committed the murder. Macedonian citizen murdered in south Serbian police (MUP) in Vranje said earlier in the day in a statement that an unknown perpetrator shot and killed Mehiri while he was driving in his Ford Escort. Police also said that at the scene, marks made by the fired bullets – "at least forty of them" – were seen stretching for several dozen meters along the edge of the road.
