“MUP ready to be leading force on EU path”

Interior Minister Ivica Dacic says MUP once again proves its readiness to be a leading force on Serbia's EU path. This, according to him, comes through the processes of reforms of professional services. “MUP ready to be leading force on EU path” Opening the “Presentation of the modern concept of human resource management'” seminar at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade today, Dacic said that police are not comprised only of operatioal teams, but also of logistics services which give support to police officers by providing conditions for uninterrupted work. Expert of EU and OSCE joint Initiative of Support for Improvement in Governance and Management Francisco Cardona said that this reform is of great importance, especially because Serbia applied for EU membership. Cardona pointed out that, in order for police to be democratic, it needs to be lead by principles of legality, political neutrality, objectiveness, and needs to have high level of integrity and efficiency, and added that this is the goal of the reform of the police of a democratic country which wants to become a EU member.
