The Hague Tribunal has reject Radovan Karadzic’s appeal regarding the defense attorney that was imposed to represent him. The judges of the Tribunal named British lawyer Richard Harvey as Karadzic’s defense attorney after Karadzic refused to appear in court during the first three days of his trial, claiming that he needed more time to prepare his case. Karadzic appeal rejected Karadzic has appealed the decision on several occasions, but it has been rejected every time, with the Tribunal stating that it is in the best interest of justice to limit Karadzic’s ability to impede on court proceedings as his own defense attorney by imposing a lawyer to defend his interests in court. Karadzic pleaded not guilty to 11 points of his indictment, which accuses him of having committed war crimes and crimes against humanity during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina between the years of 1992 and 1995.
