Belgrade Prosecutors have filed charges against Dejan Stojadinovic, who physically assaulted New Serbia (NS) leader Velimir Ilic last week. Stojadinovic attack the NS leader in downtown Belgrade on February 5, inflicting minor injuries on the politician, State Public Prosecutor's Office spokesperson Tomo Zoric stated on Friday. NS leader’s attacker charged Stojadinovic will be charged with the criminal act of hooligan behavior at a public meeting, which suggests a punishment of six months to five years of prison, Zoric told Tanjug. According to Ilic’s statement to police, Stojadinovic was sane, aware of what he was doing and wanted to attack him. Stojadinovic remained silent before the police and the investigative judge, and did not want to reveal the motives of his attack.

Stojadinović will be charged with the criminal act of hooligan behavior at a public meeting, which suggests a punishment of six months to five years of prison, Zorić told Tanjug.

According to Ilić’s statement to police, Stojadinović was sane, aware of what he was doing and wanted to attack him.
