Novi Sad’s striking public communal companies and city authorities are set to continue their negotiations today. The workers are protesting against a decision to cut their wages by ten percent compared to last year, and have announced another gathering at the central town square. Public companies, city continue talks They also gathered on Monday and Tuesday, but not yesterday, because of a major religious holiday. The strike is affecting city transportation and garbage collection. Novi Sad’s city authorities have ordered the companies to maintain a minimum amount of work, and said they would come up with new solutions as they meet with the strikers this Thursday. (Beta)
