The Serbian Society of Judges has asked the Council to submit the list of candidate judges that were not selected, along with the information on what courts they were working in and what positions they were competing for. The council was also asked whether it used data from the Interior Ministry and Security Information Agency while selecting judges, and if the list of candidates was forwarded to other persons and institutions for their opinions. The Society of Judges also called on the council to submit its decision with concrete reasons why some were not selected, detailed explanation and evidence that backs their moves. President Boris Tadic said that there was no political pressure during the re-election of judges. He said that there is a possiblity that some judges will be re-elected in a process later on. “Perhaps I cannot say that there was no injustice in each concrete case, but there should be comparisons made, and every judge that was not elected must receive a clear, written statement,” Tadic said. He added that if mistakes were to be confirmed, they would be corrected, “Because there is always a possibility of the election of several dozen judges in an additional process.” Tadic did not rule out the possibility that some of the re-elected judges would lose their positions at a later date, either, "if it is proved that they are not worthy of their jobs".
