A 35-year-old suspected rapist was arrested last night in suburban Belgrade, Serbian police (MUP) told B92. Milomir Nenadovic, a native of Uzice in western Serbia, is suspected of having raped a woman in the elevator of a Belgrade residential building. Another rape suspect arrested Two days ago, police arrested Sasa Mega, a suspect in four recent rapes in the capital city. Mega was previously convicted of the same crime and has now been placed in 30-day custody, with an investigation launched against him. In Serbia, those found guilty of rape are incarcerated for a period of two to 15 years. The recent changes to the Criminal Proceedings Law have prohibited judges from passing sentences lower than the legal minimum.

Another rape suspect arrested

Two days ago, police arrested Saša Mega, a suspect in four recent rapes in the capital city.

Mega was previously convicted of the same crime and has now been placed in 30-day custody, with an investigation launched against him.

In Serbia, those found guilty of rape are incarcerated for a period of two to 15 years.
