Ljajić resigns from Action Team

Rasim Ljajić has resigned as one of the coordinators of the Action Team for cooperation with the Hague Tribunal.

Rasim Ljajic has resigned as one of the coordinators of the Action Team for cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. Ljajic, who is also president of the National Council for Cooperation and labor minister, submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic in Belgrade on Tuesday. Ljajic resigns from Action Team Ljajic said in a written statement that he will continue to perform the duty of the president of the council and will take, together with other team members, all necessary measures to keep the existing level of cooperation in the areas that are in the competence of the council. “The council will continue to cooperate closely with the action team and all other competent state organs with the aim of sooner finalization of Serbia's cooperation with the Hague Tribunal,” Ljajic said. "I will resign in the most successful year in terms of cooperation with the Hague simply because I said at the beginning of this year that I expect (Ratko) Mladic to be in The Hague," Ljajic told reporters in Belgrade on Monday.

Ljajić resigns from Action Team
