K. Serb injured, Telekom van hijacked

A 50-year-old Kosovo Serb was injured in the village of Breznik near the Serb enclave of Goraždevac in Metohija, western Kosovo, reports said.

A 50-year-old Kosovo Serb was injured in the village of Breznik near the Serb enclave of Gorazdevac in Metohija, western Kosovo, reports said. The victim was identified as Gojko Djuric. He was wounded when armed men stopped and hijacked a Telekom Srbija van with central Serbia license plates. K. Serb injured, Telekom van hijacked Regional spokesman of the Kosovo police Zecir Kelmendi told Tanjug that the incident occurred around 10:00 CET on Monday, and that two attackers stopped the vehicle carrying two Serbs. The orderly at the Gorazdevac health care center Stanislava Radovic told Tanjug that Djuric was admitted with "a bleeding occipital wound". "After he received medical treatment, he was put in an ambulance to be transported to the hospital in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, but, according to what we have learned, he was carried to a hospital in Pec at the insisting of KPS," Radovic said. KPS said they had managed to find the hijacked vehicle in a forest close to the Grabovac village, and underlined that "search dogs had taken part in the search". "We know that the vehicle is a post office van and that a package was stolen from it," the spokesman said. According to the eyewitnesses, there was also some money in the vehicle, he added. KPS members blocked part of Metohija, and "an intensive search is underway for the attackers", said the spokesman
