SNS, DSS-NS reach agreement

The Serb Progressive Party (SNS) and the Democratic Party of Serbia and New Serbia (DSS-NS) reached agreement on Vozdovac today. The parties announced that they would be forming the new local government in this Belgrade municipality. SNS, DSS-NS reach agreement They told a news conference that they are yet to discuss personnel issues, but rather focused on the functioning of the municipality, construction of infrastructure and communications with the citizens. The Vozdovac municipal assembly has 56 seat. During the local by-elections held on December 6, SNS won 26 seats and DSS-NS six. A coalition gathered around the Democratic Party will have 20 seats and the SPS-PUPS-JS coalition will have four. None of the other parties that participated in the elections passed the five percent threshold.
