The Serbian government has withdrawn the final state budget report from the parliamentary procedure. This was confirmed in parliament today by Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic. Final 2008 budget report withdrawn Several opposition MPs exercised their right to ask questions at the beginning of today’s debate and requested the scheduling of a session where the final report of Serbia's 2008 budget and report of State Auditing Institution (DRI) would be discussed. The speaker announced that the government removed the report from parliamentary procedures this morning. Liberal-Democratic Party MP Slobodan Maras requested that the budget and DRI reports be discussed, before MPs move on to the 2010 budget draft, expected to be sent to parliament soon. The same request was made by Serb Progressive Party official Jorgovanka Tabakovic. The DRI was critical of the way the money was spent from the budget last year, and pointed out to a number of irregularities in its report.

Final 2008 budget report withdrawn

Several opposition MPs exercised their right to ask questions at the beginning of today’s debate and requested the scheduling of a session where the final report of Serbia's 2008 budget and report of State Auditing Institution (DRI) would be discussed.

The speaker announced that the government removed the report from parliamentary procedures this morning.

Liberal-Democratic Party MP Slobodan Maraš requested that the budget and DRI reports be discussed, before MPs move on to the 2010 budget draft, expected to be sent to parliament soon.

The same request was made by Serb Progressive Party official Jorgovanka Tabaković.

The DRI was critical of the way the money was spent from the budget last year, and pointed out to a number of irregularities in its report.
