The Serbian parliament is today continuing the debate on the amendments submitted to the draft law on Vojvodina's jurisdictions. MPs this week started discussing both the law and the draft provincial statute, sent to parliament by the government. Parliament continues statute debate The ruling coalition and the opposition LDP have announced their support for the bills. The rest of the opposition considers the drafts to be unconstitutional, while some parties have also demanded that they be withdrawn from the agenda. At the beginning of the session today, opposition Serb Radical Party (SRS) MP Sulejman Spaho congratulated all Muslims the holiday of Kurban Bajram (Eid al-Adha). Yesterday, his fellow Radical lawmaker Gordana Pop-Lazic caused an incident when she protested against the way Gordana Comic, DS, was conducting the session by throwing both her shoes at the deputy speaker.
