EU Council of Ministers Chairman and Swedish FM Carl Bildt has stated that Serbia's application for EU accession was not on the agenda. Speaking for Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti, Bildt also said he was not disappointed with the recent negotiations in Butmir, near Sarajevo, when Bosnia-Herzegovina leaders failed to reach a compromise despite his mediation. Serbia's EU application "not on agenda" "I am not disappointed with the talks themselves, but with some Bosnian political leaders," said Bildt, adding that "this has been the situation for the past 15 years". As for the Bosnian Muslim (Bosniak) accusations that he was "responsible for the bad climate" because, according to them, he helped the early release from prison of former Republic of Srpska (RS) leader Biljana Plavsic, Bildt said that he "had no comment".
