Serbian and Albanian Foreign Ministers Vuk Jeremić and Ilir Meta have agreed to establish a framework as soon as possible for forging bilateral relations.

Serbian and Albanian Foreign Ministers Vuk Jeremic and Ilir Meta have agreed to establish a framework as soon as possible for forging bilateral relations. Jeremic and Meta, who talked at the meeting of Visegrad Four (V4) foreign ministers in Budapest dedicated to the West Balkans, agreed that cooperation between Serbia and Albania was very significant for strengthening peace, stability and progress in the region. Serbian, Albanian FMs on cooperation Meta told a press conference after the meeting that, with regards to Tirana’s position on Kosovo, “despite our countries’ clashing views on this issue, Kosovo’s future is a secure European future just as for the rest of the region.” The two ministers agreed to improve relations in all areas of mutual interest, and in the EU integration process. Jeremic invited his Albanian counterpart to visit Belgrade, which Meta gladly accepted.
