The Vojvodina statute won't be appearing on the parliamentary agenda any time soon, as there is a lack of consensus on the issue, says LSV leader Nenad Canak. Speaking to B92, Canak also expressed his wholehearted support for this weekend’s Pride Parade, adding, though, that he did not take this event “very seriously.“ LSV: No consensus over statute The Vojvodina statute, he said, still had a long way to go before coming before MPs. “The reason is very simple—this is humiliation of the provincial institutions, it’s a humiliation of Vojvodina’s two million citizens, who have their own representative body,“ said the League of Vojvodina Social Democrat leader. “You have a bizarre situation where the Vojvodina assembly, which is entitled to propose laws to the Serbian parliament, has proposed over a hundred to date, not a single one of which has come before Serbian MPs. LSV: No consensus over statute

The Vojvodina statute, he said, still had a long way to go before coming before MPs.
