Law on parliament likely in October

Parliament speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic said on Sunday that the drafting of the bill on the parliament might complete in September or October. At the same time, the drafting of the bill on the rules of procedure might come three or four months later. Law on parliament likely in October Djukic-Dejanovic said said in an interview to Tanjug that she has conferred with the members of the working group for passing the law on the parliament and that the job could be completed without hindrances very quickly, within a few days, in September or October. The only issue that might hinder the procedure is that of mandates, but that can be regulated by other laws, such as the law on elections, she said. The text of the bill on the parliament has been 90 percent coordinated, she said. A public debate should be held before adopting the bill, she added.
