Fatmir Sejdiu has promised the families of missing Albanians that he will use his authority to order the identification of human remains as soon as possible. The Kosovo president is the first provincial official to visit the mothers of missing persons, who have been striking in front of the Forensic Medicine Institute in Pristina, calling for light to be shed on the fate of their sons. Sejdiu on missing Albanians “For my part, I’ll try to do all I can to shed light on the fates of around 1,900 missing persons in Kosovo,” he said. The mothers told him that they expected identification of the 400 or so sets of remains at the Institute to begin as soon as possible. Alliance New Kosovo leader Bexhet Pacolli also visited the mothers.
