Ruling party leader would sack two ministers Today, he assessed that “two ministers do not deserve to perform the duties they are in charge of”, but did not mention any names. He also said that sacking the pair would be a better solution than downsizing the number of ministries. Asked whether a new partner could join the government, "such as the Liberal-Democratic Party (LDP)", Markovic told Belgrade daily Danas that he will support every suggestion coming from President Boris Tadic "that is well-argument". He repeated that JS MPs will not vote in favor of the draft changes to the Law on Information, and said he believed the stability of the ruling coalition will not be jeopardized by that. "If someone doesn't vote in favor of the Law on Information, this doesn't mean they are bringing down the government," said Markovic, and stressed that his party cannot support the draft because it offers "no protection for journalists, while politicians are protected with their immunity".
