Protest note over Albanian PM statement

The Foreign Ministry has sent a protest note to the Albanian embassy charge d'affairs in Belgrade, reports said this Tuesday. The move came in response to Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha's recent pronouncements. Protest note over Albanian PM statement The ministry explained in a statement that it condemned in the strongest terms Berisha's provocative statement which crudely violated Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. The protest note pointed out to Albania's representative in Belgrade that statements such as Berisha's harm the good neighborly relations and regional cooperation, the ministry said. On Sunday, media quoted the Albanian PM as saying that "the national unity of Albanians should be a key idea in the policies of Albania and Kosovo".
