Most foreign tourists coming to Serbia visit Belgrade and Novi Sad, while Serbian citizens travel to Vrnjačka Banja and Kopaonik most often.

Most foreign tourists coming to Serbia visit Belgrade and Novi Sad, while Serbian citizens travel to Vrnjacka Banja and Kopaonik most often. The Serbian Tourism Association stated that tourists from Serbia spent a total of 241.440 nights in Vrnjacka Banja since the beginning of the year, which is 24 percent more than in the same period last year. Most tourists in Belgrade, Novi Sad Domestic tourists stayed a total of 237,154 nights in Kopaonik this year, which is a 16 percent increase compared to last year, according to data from the Statistics Bureau. Foreigners spent a total of 352,630 nights in Belgrade this year, which is a three percent increase compared to 2008, and 43,973 nights in Novi Sad, which is equal to the amount in the first half of 2008. Tourists from Bosnia-Herzegovina stayed the most nights in Serbia overall, a total of 77,808, which is an increase of six percent compared to the first half of last year. Stays in Serbia by Croatian tourists increased by 32 percent this year, and the number of Slovenian tourists increased by 29 percent as well.
