Promoting undeveloped municipalities

Minister without portfolio Sulejman Ugljanin signed contracts with the heads of 42 undeveloped municipalities in Serbia on Friday. The purpose is to present these municipalities in the media via a project entitled, "The Other Side of Serbia". Promoting undeveloped municipalities The Office for Sustainable Development of Insufficiently Developed Areas has earmarked around RSD 20mn for this project, Ugljanin said, addressing a news conference at which the project was presented. "We wish to present to the political elite, to the citizens of Serbia, the diaspora, and international investors, the advantages that these municipalities have," he said, pointing out that the objective of the project is also to demonstrate that these municipalities present fertile soil for investments of capital. Reporter and project author Olja Rakic said the 42 episodes will be broadcast individually on television stations with national coverage.
