Former Croatian PM Ivo Sanader is feeling better after being admitted to hospital last week with a bacterial lung infection. "The patient is better, he feels better, he has no fever and we are satisfied," said Miroslav Samardzija, chief of Zagreb's Jordanovac Clinic, specialized in treating pulmonary diseases. Sanader's condition improves The cause of the infection remains unknown, Samardzija explained, and according to this doctor, "that is not so important – what's much more important is that the patient is feeling better". The media in Croatia have in the last couple of days reported unofficial information and speculation that Sanader, who stepped down as premier in a surprise move in July, was ill with Legionnaires' disease, but Samardzija said that the results of tests have not confirmed that.
