The German Bundestag supports visa liberalization for Serbia, says the chairman of the European Affairs Committee, Gunther Krichbaum. After talks yesterday with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic, Krichbaum said that Berlin was offering full support to the complete process of Serbia’s EU integration, but stressed that there were still things “that need to be done.” Djelic: Berlin supports visa liberalization Djelic said that besides talks on lifting the visa regime, unfreezing the Interim Trade Agreement and European integration, a good deal was also said about possible investment on the part of companies from Bad Wurttemberg in Serbia. “The fact that the biggest European member of the Schengen zone is supporting Serbia is of major importance to us. Germany is also of the view that application of the Interim Trade Agreement should begin, and we’ve discussed ways of how we could accelerate our country’s European integration in subsequent steps, right through to receiving candidate status,” said the minister.
