Kosovo welcomes new Japanese ambassador

Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu today received a letter of accreditation from the newly-appointed Japanese ambassador to the province Akio Tanaka.

Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu today received a letter of accreditation from the newly-appointed Japanese ambassador to the province Akio Tanaka. Tanaka said that he was honored to be the first ambassador to represent Japan in Kosovo, adding that his country would continue to support the “Republic of Kosovo“ in all areas. Kosovo welcomes new Japanese ambassador Sejdiu said that “the citizens and institutions of Kosovo will forever be grateful to Japan for the significant support, both during the war and during the post-war period of the country’s recovery and strengthening of democratic institutions.“ The president said that Kosovo aspired to the good neighborly relations with the countries of the region and to speedy European integration.
