A spokesman for Kosovo's president says there will be no postponement of the locals elections, announced for the fall. "President Sejdiu needed more time and consultations in order to set the date for the municipal elections," Dzavit Beciri told RTK television outlet in Pristina. Local elections in Kosovo "won't be postponed" Sejdiu has so far held one round of consultations on this subject. Elections have previously been organized by the OSCE mission in Kosovo. Opposition parties expressed their worry recently that further delays to the second round of consultations could lead to elections being postponed for the spring of next year. The local media are speculating that voters could go to the polls in the first half of November.
