After talks with the chairman of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s tripartite presidency, Nebojsa Radmanovic, Boris Tadic said that Serbia supported a united Bosnia. The president told a news conference that Serbia, as a guarantor of the Dayton Accords, supported everything that was the fruit of an agreement between the three constitutive peoples. Bosnia's Radmanovic meets with Tadic Tadic underscored that the special ties that Serbia had with the Republic of Srpska did not present any threat to Bosnia-Herzegovina's integrity, and added that Belgrade officials were interested in establishing special parallel relations with the Bosnian Federation too. "EU and NATO membership are the common interests of all actors in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Serbia supports both aspirations," said Tadic. Tadic expressed his sadness that fellow presidency members Haris Silajdzic and Zeljko Komsic had been unable to accompany Komsic, and that they were always welcome in Serbia. Before meeting with the Serbian president, Radmanovic received an official reception in front of the Palace of Serbia. The chairman of the Bosnian presidency will be also be meeting in Belgrade with Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Parliamentary Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic. Radmanovic said earlier that the goal of his visit to Serbia was to improve relations between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia as soon as possible. He added that relations were still strained by events of the past. Radmanovic told daily Vecernje Novosti that he believed this was Serbia’s goal too. “President Tadic has shown this, first and foremost with his visit to Sarajevo. He showed the concept of government when its neighbors are in question. And something like that needs to be done by Bosnia-Herzegovina as well,” he said. “That is why my visit to Serbia will actually be a reciprocal visit. It is natural that the visit is strained by the fact that my two other colleagues from the Croat and Bosnian peoples will not be coming with me. They have their reasons, but I do not agree with them,” Radmanovic said. He said that Haris Silajdzic and Zeljko Komsic’s advisers had cancelled their visits at the last minute, which was not a good indicator that Bosnia-Herzegovina as whole wanted to improve relations. “However, I hope that President Tadic and I can take a step ahead. For all of us in the region, the goal is to create good relations with our neighbors. That is also the unwritten condition for entering the EU. Unfortunately, Bosnia, of all three neighbors, only has good relations with Montenegro, while relations are worsening with the other two neighbors,” Radmanovic said.
