Interior Minister Ivica Dacic says that Bosnia and Serbia "must agree whether they wish to normalize or further complicate mutual relations". Dacic appraised that the Bosnian Presidency member Zeljko Komsic's statement that "Serbia has pulled the devil by the tail" when Belgrade issued an arrest warrant for 13 persons connected to the May 1992 Sarajevo massacre of JNA troops, known as the Dobrovoljacka St. case, shows that "someone wishes to interfere politically in judgments, as well as in indictments". Dacic on Serbia-Bosnia ties "Many have pulled Serbia by the tail in the past ten or so years. Not to mention the Hague indictments. For this reason, we should work to calm the passions, not fan the flames. It seems that some have learned nothing from it. Still, I do not belong to that generation," said he. "If someone is guilty, they should be held responsible, even if they are a presidency member, or a country's president," stated Dacic, who is this Sunday attending a gathering of the Southeastern European leaders organized by the Republic of Srpska parliament in Banja Luka. Komsic, a Bosnian Croat member of the presidency in Sarajevo, yesterday asked for the Bosnian prosecution to issue arrest warrants against former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SRJ) presidents Zoran Lilic and Dobrica Cosic. "As police minister I wish to simplify and normalize matters," Dacic continued, and said that politics, war crimes and investigations need to be separated. "There are agreements and negotiations between the prosecutions, and they should discuss this." Asked whether Serbia's police (MUP) would move to arrest the former presidents should the Bosnian prosecution issue its warrants, Dacic said this was a matter for the Serbian prosecution, since arrest warrants are not made without indictments and investigations.
