The security services will be devoting special focus on former police and military snipers ahead of U.S. V-P Joe Biden’s visit to Serbia, writes daily Danas. The Serbian Interior Ministry has formed a special security HQ ahead of Biden’s visit to Belgrade, whose attention will be particularly focused on former snipers from the ranks of the disbanded Special Operations Unit (JSO), Danas understands from intelligence sources. The body is made up of MUP members, representatives from the intelligence and military intelligence services, as well as Ministry of Defense and Serbian Army personnel. American agents are also taking part in the work of the special HQ. According to unofficial reports, around 150 U.S. intelligence personnel have arrived in Serbia so far. The police say that no detailed plan or security measures have yet been agreed. More specifically, a final meeting was held yesterday in order for all the details to be coordinated by Monday. According to MUP, the maximum number of police officers will be on duty, and the exact number will be known on Sunday.
