Attack on policeman "not ethnically motivated"

A recent attempted murder of a police officer in Novi Pazar was not ethnically motivated, says Interior Minister Ivica Dacic. Serbian police (MUP) officer Momcilo Biorac, a Serb, came under attack earlier this week in the ethnically mixed southwestern Sandzak region of Serbia, which has a large Muslim population. A local investigative judge in Novi Pazar said on Thursday that several people were detained as part of an ongoing investigation into the case.
