Tear gas used on Serb demonstrators again The Serbs have been protesting for some time at the restoration of five Albanian homes in the so-called yellow line demarcation area between the two communities. About 100 protesters gathered there today, with a significantly larger contingent of EULEX police officers and soldiers in tow. Northern Kosovska Mitrovica police commander Milija Milosevic told journalists that he was afraid that the incidents in Brdjani could have serious repercussions, and that people could get injured. According to Milosevic, the Albanians have continued restoring the five homes in the neighbourhood, ignoring previously signed agreements, and do not want to negotiate with the Serb community. Serbs also want permission to begin restoration of their own houses in the south of the town, plans which have been on hold since an agreement was signed by the two communities in 2000.
