The Security and Democracy Forum (FBD) wants politicians to seriously assess the importance of relations with NATO, especially in terms of EU integration. The FBD criticizes the situation where “those supporting the entrance of Serbia into the EU are sidelining the topic of Serbia’s Euro-Atlantic integration,” and the fact that public discussions on NATO are dominated by anti-European and anti-Western views. NGO calls on Serbia to reconsider NATO relations It adds that it will try to give a more comprehensive and objective view to the public on the functioning and importance of the alliance, stating that it has created an internet “NATO handbook” with over 300 pages of content related to NATO’s policies and functions. The FBD also published the book in a physical format earlier in the year, but only in a limited edition, with copies printed and distributed to educational institutions, MPs and other officials dealing with security and European integration issues, as well as the Defense Ministry and libraries.
