The planned reduction in the number of ministries has been thwarted by internal problems with the SPS, claim sources close to daily Blic. The sources state that the biggest problem lies in the fact that Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader Ivica Dacic is unable to force any of his party colleagues—Infrastructure Minister Milutin Mrkonjic, Education Minister Zarko Obradovic and Energy Minister Petar Skundric—to step aside. Neither were available for comment, however. There are currently two plans for scaling down the number of ministries.
