Infrastructure Minister Milutin Mrkonjic said in Cacak on Saturday that the government will debate a new draft law on traffic safety on Thursday. The Interior Ministry (MUP) and the Infrastructure Ministry, along with a group of experienced professors and researchers, have drafted the law, Mrkonjic said, adding that he hopes parliament would "rush to adopt it". Minister: New traffic law needed immediately His comments came hours after the latest deadly traffic accident on Serbia's roads that left four people dead. Mrkonjic said that the Ibraska crash this morning is "yet another reason for building the Belgrade-Cacak highway", referring to the condition of the road. “We are considering the possibility of announcing a concession for that part of the highway. I hope that we will do this by the beginning of June," Mrkonjic said.

His comments came hours after the latest deadly traffic accident on Serbia's roads that left four people dead.

Mrkonjić said that the Ibraska crash this morning is "yet another reason for building the Belgrade-Čačak highway", referring to the condition of the road.

“We are considering the possibility of announcing a concession for that part of the highway. I hope that we will do this by the beginning of June," Mrkonjić said.
