Members of the Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo and Metohija have not been allowed entry into the province this morning. The committee's session, scheduled for today in Ranilug, has been canceled, Beta news agency reports. MPs blocked from entering Kosovo The committee's chairman, Ljubomir Kragovic, told the agency that this came despite the fact that the MPs had announced their trip some ten days ago. He added they would insist that the committee should meet in the province for as many sessions as possible – which is one of the decisions this parliamentary body itself adopted. Kragovic's deputy Dejan Radenkovic said that the MPs were prevented from crossing the administrative line, and were told that the ban came because they failed to meet the requirements of UNMIK's 2005 decision on procedures of entry and stay in Kosovo. This committee held its first session in Kosovo on February 17 this year in Zvecan. The agenda for today included a debate on the work of local self-governments in the Serb areas.
