FM Vuk Jeremic says getting Serbia on to the Schengen white list is the easiest and most attainable goal of the year as it's not hampered by political issues. Jeremic told daily Blic that the government and all other institutions would do their utmost to finish that process so that Serbian citizens could travel without barriers, like the rest of their European counterparts. Jeremic, however, insists that a clear road map was defined for every country of the region and that Serbia, once it fulfills all its conditions, will be able to deliver its citizens visa-free travel, regardless of progress made by the other countries in question. The European Commission is currently on its third visit to Belgrade, looking at the conditions Serbia needs to fulfill for getting on to the white list. According to daily Danas, the Brussels delegation will be looking at the issue of illegal migration and border control in Serbia today, which is one of the conditions on the road map.
