A member of the Novi Pazar City Council has sent a letter to Interior Minister Ivica Dacic, B92 has learned. In it, Fevzija Muric demands that all the circumstances of a recent incident in this Sandzak town be investigated. Novi Pazar authorities in letter to Dacic Members of Sulejman Ugljanin's SDA party, which is part of the Bosniak Coalition, clashed on Jan. 17 with security personnel posted at the party premises in the town's culture center. Four people were injured, one suffering from gunshot wounds. The letter today states that the incidents could have been avoided had police reacted in time, and demands "full responsibility" of MUP chiefs in Novi Pazar. Muric also sent a video tape of the clash, which, according to him, "clearly shows" who caused the incident, and that police did not react properly. Yesterday in Novi Pazar, police said they detained a suspect whom they believe fired the shots that injured one man.
