Four perish in Valjevo car crash

Four young men, still to be identified, died last night in a car crash on the Valjevo-Uzice bypass near Valjevo. The town’s investigative judge, Jasmina Terzic, said that the accident had taken place at 01:50 CET this morning, when their Peugeot 306 had careered off the road into a ditch. The car plunged in a deep canal next to the road, slammed into a concrete wall, and flipped on to its roof. Eye-witnesses said that the impact was so severe that all four young men were thrown from the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected this morning and a post mortem will be carried out on the victims, who are all believed to be from Valjevo or nearby.
