Panamanian Foreign Minister Samuel Luis Navarro has informed Pristina that his country has recognized Kosovo. “In a long and friendly telephone conversation, the Panamaian foreign minister informed [Kosovo foreign policy chief Skender] Hyseni that that country had recognized Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state,“ read a statement from the Kosovo Foreign Ministry. Panama recognizes Kosovo Hyseni was informed that a verbal note of recognition of Kosovo would be conveyed to Kosovo’s charge d’affaires in the U.S., Avni Spahiu. Panama is the 54th country to recognize Kosovo Albanians' unilateral declaration of independence.
