MUP's special and regular police ended a search of Ratko Mladic’s son’s home in Belgrade at around 17:00 CET on Thursday. B92 understands that the financiers of the remaining two Hague fugitives were being sought in a number of locations. Police end search of Mladic jnr. home Serb Radical Party (SRS) deputy leader and MP Dragan Todorovic, whom Darko Mladic asked to witness the search, said that police "took every piece of clothing, every piece of paper and every tiny thing" that they thought could help them in arresting the former military leader of the Bosnian Serbs. Earlier, Police Chief Milorad Veljovic confirmed that a search of Mladic’s son's house was under way. "No operation to arrest Ratko Mladic is under way, but rather a search for clues that will lead to Mladic's arrest," President of National Council for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal Rasim Ljajic informed B92. "Operations will be taking place over the coming days, and will continue until Ratko Mladic's arrest," said Ljajic, adding that the operation was part of the Action Plan for arresting the remaining fugitives. B92 understands that a number of locations in Belgrade were searched, and agencies reported that the goal was to uncover the financiers of the two remaining Hague fugitives and cut off their sources of funding. Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said that there was no information that could confirm whether Mladic and Goran Hadzic were in Serbia. The last police action in the hunt for Mladic was conducted on November 10, when the Vujic factory in Valjevo was searched, because the owners were suspected of providing financial support to the Hague fugitives. The UN Security Council will consider the regular six-month report on the work of the Hague Tribunal on December 12. Tribunal President Patrick Robinson and Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz are due to present their reports to the UN Security Council on that occasion, concerning, among other things, level of cooperation of the countries of the former Yugoslavia with the court. Brammertz is also due to notify the EU Council of Ministers about Serbia’s cooperation with the Tribunal before presenting his report to the UN SC. The decision on whether to unblock the Interim Trade Agreement and the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement may depend on that report. Tanjug was informed by the police that searches were under way in five buildings, four of which are in Belgrade, and that the operation was being carried out on the orders of the District Court in Belgrade. The War Crime Prosecutor’s Office informed Tanjug that the aim of the operation was “the implementation of the action plan for cutting off the financing channels for the Hague fugitives." Mladic jnr.’s house in Blagoja Parovica Street, where his company’s head office is also registered, was surrounded by some ten uniformed special police officers, wearing balaclavas, and numerous teams of journalists. Serb Radical Party (SRS) MPs announced in parliament today that a police search was under way at the house.
